November 17, 2021 at 3:08 PMIf Ernest and I were having a conversation, as we often did, you would tell me something like this: When you were a little boy, you and your friends would gather pecans and sell them to the owner of a little grocery store. He would pay your friends a few cents for the bags of pecans and then place the bags in the back of the store. After a couple of hours playing, you and your friends would go to the back of the grocery store, take the pecans to the front and sell them back to the grocery store owner.
You know I liked this story of your early childhood the most. I wish I could have been your friend in those early days in Georgia, but I am really glad we became friends later. You and Phyllis have enhanced our lives by being our friends. We love you very much and are so sad to say goodbye.

November 20, 2021 at 11:24 AMWhen we say our prayers, we pray to be a good example of what a follower of Christ would look like. Although I fail at this more than not, when I remember Ernest, I remember him as being someone who was successful. My family and i always left his presence with a smile on our faces. I look forward to spending eternity with him .
