Obituary for Monroe Woods

Monroe Woods was born June 3, 1937 to Mr. David and Mrs. Nancy Woods, in Macon County, Tuskegee, Alabama. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, along with one of his brothers, Mr. David Woods, Jr.
Mr. Monroe accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Andrew Baptist Church. He also graduated from Tuskegee High School, class of 1955.
Mr. Monroe came to Florida where he met his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Woods, who preceded him in death. They had 2 grandsons, Nicholas Woods and Kyle Woods, who both preceded him in death.
Mr. Monroe worked for Orange County Public Schools until his retirement. He loved going fishing, hunting, and working in his yard and garden. Mr. Monroe always showed love to his family and friends. He was involved in his community and church. He was a person who was a true friend.
Mr. Monroe surviving relatives are: daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn Watson; son-in-law, Mr. Thomas Watson; son, Mr. Kenneth Woods; grandson, Mr. Nicholas Woods, all of Orlando, Florida; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Dorothy Cloud of Tuskegee, Alabama, Mrs. Othello Young of Montgomery, Alabama, Mr. Leonard Woods of Montgomery, Alabama, Mr. Rogers Woods of Montgomery, Alabama, and Mr. Elijah Woods of Tuskegee, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
