Kobi Malik Williams Obituary
On April 30, 1999, Kobi Malik Williams graced the world with his presence! Torrie and Kayo, Sr. immediately loved this happy, fat baby with big twinkling eyes. He rarely cried, and that was the beginning of his sweet demeanor. His kindness, beautiful smile, and friendly behavior was a natural-born instinct.
Kobi was blessed with three wonderful siblings. He and big brother Kayo shared a special bond. As young boys, they were inseparable, and as young men, they grew even closer. Kayo was constantly looking out for Kobi. Little brother even followed in Kayo’s footsteps by attending FAMU. He adored little sister Kanae that he called “Biscuit.” Kobi had her name boldly tattooed across his chest to express the love he shared for her, and they even shared a top-secret handshake that they only knew. His big sister Kaviona referred to Kobi as her little big brother and loved sharing their plans with each other. They would randomly text each other “I Love You” and would spend hours laughing together.
Kobi loved his brother and sisters! He was determined to be a Physical Education Teacher. So determined that he began that journey by obtaining his Associate's degree from Tallahassee Community College, then transferring on to FAMU to receive his bachelor’s degree. He aspired to enter the Marines, following in his Poppa footsteps, where he would pursue his master’s degree. As vibrant as his personality was, so was his appetite! Kobi enjoyed a candlelight dinner alone where he would use his culinary skills to wine and dine himself. Kobi constantly maintained an optimistic, fun, caring demeanor. He had a way of keeping everyone calm through the storm and making you laugh uncontrollably. Have you ever seen Kobi without a smile? The answer would be NO! He kept a smile on his face ALWAYS! Kobi leaves us all with cherished memories. He is survived by: his mother – Torrie that he still called Mommyyy! Kayo and Kanae called her mom, but not Kobi; his father – Kayo, Sr.; his loving grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Kobi loved spending fun times and great moments with all of his cousins and wonderful friends.
