LORETTA WILLIAMS GAITOR
Loretta Williams Gaitor was born February 2, 1961, in Orlando, Florida to Walter & Lula Williams. She grew up in Orlando received her education through the Orange County school system, graduating from Maynard Evans High School.
She was a lifetime member of St. John Baptist Church, joining under the leadership of Rev. Fred L. Maxwell. She sang in the Youth Choir and was the Jr. Sunday School Secretary. She also worked in the church office. Loretta worked for the phone company, as a phone operator. She stopped working due to some health challenges.
After years of a long courtship, she married Abraham Gaitor. They were married for almost 18 years. She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She loved her family, especially her grandsons Johnathan and Jaylen. They were the love of her life, they spent most of their weekends at Mema’s house.
Loretta was not athletically inclined, but she loved all sports. The closest she got to being athletic was water aerobics. She visited several pools, but her favorite by far was the Smith Center. The group was known as “The Church of the Living Waters. She was affectionately known as “The Bishop” at the pools.
Loretta was a fun-loving person, so full of life. She had a way of making you laugh at any situation. She missed her calling, she should have been a comedian.
After a brief season of illness, The Lord called her home to rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
She leaves behind those cherishing her memories so loving in their hearts: husband: Abraham Gaitor Jr.; parents: Walter & Lula Williams; daughter: Tameria Scott; grandchildren: Johnathan Walker & Jaylen Walker; siblings: Walter Williams Jr. (Annette), Patricia Mobley (Randy) & Larry Williams (Patricia) brothers-in-law: Larry Gaitor (Sarah) and Ivory Gaitor; and sisters-in-law: Dorothy Anderson (Johnny), Shirley Sanders, Juanita McGuffie, Susie Dates & Bettie Jean Gaitor; stepchildren: Tracy Williams and Abraham Gaitor III (Shayla), step-grandchildren: Ebony Williams Taylor & Hai’layah Grace Gaitor; a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends; Special friend, Mary Delaughter affectionately known as Aunt Mary.
