I only received the news of his passing today. 11/20/22. Harriet and I were speechless at the news.
Roosevelt was a very good friend. We met in Newport RI. Which is Harriet’s home, I was in the Navy. We moved to Orlando in 1978 and the friendship begin anew. Goodby old friend, you will be missed. Rest in peace.

My condolences to the Williams family on the loss of their family member Mr. Roosevelt Williams. Praying for the family. I would see Mr. Williams sometimes at the training meetings when I would work the elections polls and also at the Jones High football games sometimes also. Mr. Williams was a very kind and humble man.

I had Mr. Williams for 7th grade math at the FM Gaudineer School, Springfield, NJ, in 1968-69. He was an imposing yet gentle man and still a very effective teacher, whom I looked up to in more ways than just physical height.
