Rovanna Waddell Griffin passed away on December 22, 2022 in Orlando, Florida under Hospice care at the age of 95. Rovanna was born in Grand Junction, Tennessee on December 14, 1927 to the late Reverend Jordan Arthur Waddell and the late Mattie Fayson. Rovanna loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Rovanna was known for her kindness, grace, generous spirit, love for children and love for her family. Rovanna relocated to Florida in 2003 after residing in Memphis, Tennessee for most of her life.
Rovanna is survived by her son Larry Thomas Nash, 3 daughters June Griffin James, Carmen Griffin Robinson, Lois Lynne Griffin-Bramlett (spouse Dave Bramlett), grandson Keith S Nash, 2 granddaughters Elkie N Griffin, Julie V Edwards, 6 great grand children, 3 great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her dearly.
Rovanna’s cremated remains will be laid to rest along with her beloved husband Thomas Griffin in Memphis at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in the spring of 2023. A celebration of her life for all family and friends will be held at that time.
