Sarah Doris Brown's Obituary
Sarah was born Saturday, March 10, 1945, in Lake City, Florida, to the late Bessie Williams and Cato Souter. She lived in Live Oak, Kissimmee, and Orlando and was educated in Suwannee, Osceola, and Orange Counties. Sarah joined St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Kissimmee at the early age of 7. On February 25, 1961, Sarah married Richard Lee Brown. The couple moved to Orlando in 1967 to settle and raise their growing family. Sarah worked as an underwriting technician at CNA Insurance Company for 23 years.

Sarah was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and Godmother. She was a faithful friend and confidant to many. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, nurturing her family, and creating fond memories with those she loved.
On Friday, April 28, 2023, the Lord dispatched an angel to escort her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years- Richard Lee Brown; her first-born son – Ricardo Anthony Brown; and sisters - Bernice Berry (Bessie Williams), Betty Jean Stroder (Cato Souter), and Elaine McCallum (Cato Souter).
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons – Peter (Anita) and Drake (Archie); two daughters - Sara (Freddie) and Brenda; eight grandchildren – Clifton, Crystal (Pamela), Kimberley, Drake (Emily), Kendra, Kaleigh (Kevin), Tamia, and Sarah (Laura); five great-grandchildren – Nyah, Amari, Ziyani, Caleyah, and Kendrick; two brothers-in-law – Joe Raymond and Charles; two sisters-in-law – Vivian and Sheila; one Godson – William Bostic, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives, and friends.
Farewell for Now…
To my Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren:
I loved you more than you'll ever know. I didn't have much to give, but I hoped my love was more than enough. Please be there for one another. Love, cherish, and take care of each other as I loved, cherished, and cared for you while I was with you.
To my Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, Daughters-in-law, and Sons-in-law:
Thank you for being in my life when I needed you.
To my Friends (I don't have to call your names, you know who you are):
You were always there when I needed someone to talk to and when I needed to be uplifted. Thanks for your kindness.
As my favorite scripture Matthew 5:8, states, "Blessed is the pure in heart, for they shall see God." I'm with God now; see you soon. Always remember, God is love, and God is good. I love you all.
