Tommy “Tony” Gibbs Obituary
Tommy “Tony” Gibbs was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 8, 1961, to Jacob Turner and Cora Bell Gibbs. Tommy graduated from Wynham High School, Houston, Texas. Tommy was a caretaker, laborer, prep cook, maintenance technician, and entrepreneur.
Tommy enjoyed cooking, reading, movies, music of all genres, especially old school music, singing, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
Tommy met and married Shemell Linton on November 14, 2019, in Orlando, Florida.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Jacob Turner and Cora Bell Gibbs, and brother Tyrone Jacob Turner.
God’s plan for Tommy’s life was done here on earth. However, we can be comforted and rejoice in God’s word knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:18).
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife Shemell Gibbs (Orlando, FL), sons Taurus Smiley (Georgia), Eric Garth Linton II and Christian Michael Linton (Orlando, FL), grandsons Taurus Smiley , Jr. (New York), Tyreek Smiley (Georgia), Eric Garth Linton III (Orlando, FL); granddaughter Erianys Jolee Linton (Orlando, FL), Best friend like a brother Kivah Branch (New York); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
