Johnnie Mae White Obituary
Johnnie Mae White was born March 16, 1960 in Apopka, Florida to Ella Mae and Chester Wynn, Sr.
She attended Orange County Public Schools where she graduated in 1978 from Edgewater High School. After high school, Johnnie enlisted to serve in the US Army for 2 years, 1980-1982.
She was a visiting nurse associate for many years and served 15 years as a school crossing guard.
In June 1979, Johnnie married Tony Jones and had one child, Chestin Jones. In 1983, she married Arthur White, Sr. and had another child, Arthur White, Jr.
Johnnie was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
She loved cooking and spending time with her family.
On Sunday, March 14, 2021, God saw the road getting tough and the hills too high to climb. God whispered to Johnnie, “You've fought a good fight, you've finished your course, and you've kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness.”
Johnnie was preceded in death by: her father – Chester Wynn, Sr.; her mother – Ella Mae Wynn; and 2 brothers – Chester Wynn, Jr. and Robin Wynn.
Johnnie leaves to cherish her precious memories to: her fiancée –Thomas Howard, Sr. of Apopka, Florida; 3 sons – Chestin Jones, Arthur White, Jr., and Demeche Sutton, all of Eatonville, Florida; 2 brothers – John Wynn of Eatonville, Florida, and Gerry Wynn, Sr. (Elaine) of Jacksonville Florida; niece – Latoya Wynn of Orlando, Florida; nephew – Gerry Wynn, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; and a host of relatives and friends too numerous to list.
